Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply to the use of Dicovo Content (the "app"; in the Shopify App Store "Dicovo Content: AI Bulk Editor"). Dicovo Content is a product of Troef Media ("we", "us"), which makes and operates it. By installing or using the app you, the Shopify merchant ("you"), accept these terms on behalf of your business.
1. Who we are
Troef Media, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 04069408, VAT number NL002158207B72, Coehoornsingel 2a, 9711 BS Groningen, the Netherlands. Contact: [email protected].
2. What the app does
The app lets you prepare, review and apply content changes to your Shopify store in bulk: products, collections, pages and blog articles, including text metafields and image alt texts. An AI you choose (Claude through our connector, your own AI key, or our AI) prepares changes. A person on your team reviews them and applies them. The app backs up every value it overwrites, so a change can be rolled back while its backup is kept.
3. Early version
The app is offered as a beta: it is new and still being developed. Features can change, be added or be removed, and the app may have errors or be unavailable at times. We aim to keep the app running and your data safe, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or always available.
4. AI output and your review
- AI can be wrong. Text an AI prepares can contain mistakes, claims that are not true, wrong prices or measurements, a wrong tone, or text that infringes someone's rights. The app's checks, the sample and the fact check help you find problems; they do not catch everything.
- You decide what goes live. Nothing changes in your store until a person on your team applies it. You are responsible for reviewing changes before you apply them and for the content of your store, including its compliance with law, Shopify's policies and the rights of others.
- No warranty on AI output. We give no warranty that AI output is correct, complete, original or fit for a purpose.
- Your AI provider. When you use your own AI key or your own Claude account, your agreement with that provider also applies, and that provider bills you for its use.
5. AI output and backups
AI can and will make mistakes. Check the proposals and judge for yourself what the consequences of a mistake could be. We are expressly not responsible for incorrectly generated content. Changing many items at once is a risk to your data, so keep your own backups of your store as well.
The app keeps the old value of every field it changes for the number of days your plan and settings allow (shown in the app next to the apply steps), so you can roll a change back. That backup only covers changes made through the app, only for that period, and does not replace your own backups.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give access only to people you trust; owners can apply changes, reviewers can review.
- Keep your AI keys safe and remove them from the app when you no longer use them.
- Do not use the app to publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content, to attack or overload the app or Shopify, or to get access to data of another store.
7. Prices and billing
- Prices are shown in the app under Settings > Plan and in our App Store listing. The plan follows your store's Shopify plan; development stores are free.
- When we agree a different price with you, Settings > Plan shows it as the agreed price for your store. It is billed through Shopify in the same way, and a change to it also needs your approval in Shopify.
- Every paid plan has a free trial of 14 days and is billed every 30 days through Shopify, on your Shopify invoice. Usage charges (extra applied changes with your own AI, or AI usage with our AI) are billed through Shopify too, never above the cap you approved.
- You approve every subscription and every higher cap on Shopify's own confirmation page.
- Taxes are handled as Shopify handles them for app charges.
- We may change our prices. A change to the recurring price of an existing subscription only takes effect after you approve it in Shopify, as Shopify's billing requires.
8. Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time in the app (Settings > Plan) or by uninstalling the app. The subscription ends then; The current 30-day period runs to its end and is not refunded; nothing is charged after that.
- When you uninstall, the app's access to your store ends at once and your data is deleted 48 hours later, as the privacy policy describes.
- We may end or suspend your use of the app if you seriously breach these terms, or if we stop offering the app. When we stop the app, we tell you at least 30 days in advance where we can.
9. Your data and ours
- Your store's content stays yours. You give us the right to process it only to provide the app to you.
- How we handle data is described in our privacy policy at the app's
/privacyaddress. - The app, its code and its design remain ours.
10. Liability
- We are not liable for changes you or your team applied to your store, for the content of AI output, or for the services of Shopify, your AI provider or Anthropic.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue, lost data that you could have restored from a backup in the app, or damage to reputation.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage.
- These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, for example in case of intent or deliberate recklessness.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When a change matters, we tell store owners in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
12. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in Groningen, the Netherlands (the district of Troef Media's registered office), unless mandatory law says otherwise.
